March 7th 1880
The following named persons having been previously elected, to the office of ruling elders, by a vote of this church Asa Smith, Samuel Hartwell, Jonathan Whitaker, J. Harvey Hanford were this day set apart to this office, according to the constitution or usage of the Presbyterian church. H. F. Wadsworth. Pastor.

April 14th 1880
The Session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth, Mod. Isaac Swift, Asa Smith, Samuel Hartwell, JH Hanford. Absent Marcus Hayne, J L Whitaker. At this meeting a letter of dismission and recommendation was given to Mrs Irene Clark to join the Presbyterian church at Ridgebury N. Y. Mr Asa Smith was appointed delegate to represent this church in Presbytery to be held in Port Jervis on Monday April 19th. J. H. Hanford alternate. Closed with prayer. H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator.

June 5th 1880
The session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Presnt H. F. Wadsworth, Mod. Elders Isaac Swift, Asa Smith, J H Hanford, J L Whitaker. Absent Marcus Hayne. At this meeting a letter of recommendation and dismission was granted to Olver R Gurnee to join an Evangelical church in Brooklyn N. Y. There being no further business, session adjourned. September 4th 1880
Session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator. Isaac Swift, Asa Smith, J L Whitaker, J H Hanford. Absent Samuel Hartwell, Marcus Hayne. John B Hittle and his wife Josephine Hittle presented themselves as candidates for church membership. After an examination, in reference to their Christian experience, and views of christian doctrine, the session unanimously voted to receive the. At the same meeting letters of dismission and recommendation, were given to Mr Charles W. Fooker and his wife, Mrs Carrie R. Fooker, to join the Presbyterian Church at Amity N. Y. and also to John A Straley, to join the Presbyterian church, at Branchville N. J. James H Hanford was appointed delegate to represent this church in Presbytery to be held in Monticello, Ny. Y. Sept 20th. The minutes of the meetings of session for the past year were read and approved. The meeting was closed with prayer.

Hayne, Jonathan L. Whittaker. The session at this meeting granted a letter of dismission and recommendation to Charles Cook to join the “Church of the Strangers” in the city of New York. The session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth Moderator. Elders Isaac Swift, Asa Smith, J L Whittaker, J H Hanford. Absent Marcus S. Hayne, Samuel Hartwell. At this meeting Minnie Irwin presented herself as a candidate for church membership and after a careful examination in respect to her Christian experience and views of Christian doctrine, vote unanimously to receive her. April 16th 1882
The session met at the call of the Moderator. The meeting was opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator. Elders Isaac Swift, Marcus S Hayne, Samuel Hartwell, J H Harvey, J L Whittaker. This day, Asa Smith, a ruling elder of this church departed from this life, deeply lamented, by the session and the church. Sept 2nd 1882

At this meeting of the session the following persons presented themselves as candidates for church membership. MrS Harriet Toland, Mrs Sarah J. Fidaback. William J. McCoy. Feb 7th 1883
The Session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth. Elders Isaac Swift, J Harvey Hanford. Absent Marcus S Hayne, Jonathan L Whittaker. At this meeting John Polley presented himself as a candidate for church membership. The Session having heard his religious experience voted unanimously to receive him into the church. March 3rd 1883
The Session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator. Isaac Swift, Jonathan L. Whittaker, J Harvey Hanford. At this meeting Emma Van Fleet appeared before the Session and requested to be received into the church. The examination being satisfactory the request was granted. The meeting was closed with prayer. H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator.

September 1st 1883
The Session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator. Elders, Isaac Swift, J Harvey Hanford. At this meeting Emma S Hartwell presented herself as a candidate for church membership. After an examination the Session voted unanimously to receive her. Closed with prayer. H. F. Professor Samuel S Hartwell an Elder in this church was removed by death April 6th 1883. He was an active and useful member of the church and session and the loss is deeply felt by the community.

March 24th 1884
The Session met at the call of the Moderator. Opened with prayer. Present H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator. Elders, Isaac Swift, Marcus S Hayne, J L Whittaker, J H Hanford. The following persons applied for letters of dismission. Mr and Mrs Dennis Clark, Mrs Jennie Halsey, Marcus Clark and Mrs Emma Gardner to united with the Presbytery church at West Town also mr and Mrs J P Snook to unite with the Church for Strangers Dr. Deems in New York city. And Mrs Garret B Mapes to united with any Evangelical church she may choose. At the same time letters were given to Mr and Mrs W J Smith and their son Frederic A Smith to united with one of the Presbyterian church of Jersey City a letter was also granted to Mrs. Minna Bedeil to united with a Presbyterian church in Kansas and to Mrs E B Wadsworth and daughter Mary F. Wadsworth to united with the Presbyterian church of Springfield N. J. The minutes were read and approved by session. Closed with prayer. H. F. Wadsworth, Moderator.

Rev. H F Wadsworth’s ministry commenced with this church December 1st 1858 and closed May 7th 1884.

Union Ville June 16th 1884
The Session met at the call of Elder Swift – who in the absence of any minister to preside was chosen Moderator. Present Isaac Swift, Moderator and Elder. Marcus Hayne, J L Whitaker, J Harvey Hanford, Elders. At this meeting J Harvey Hanford was elected clerk of the session. The Session at this meting granted a letter of dismission and recommendation to Miss Nettie Hartwell to the third Presbyterian Church at Pittsburgh Pa. Meeting adjourned. J Harvey Hanford Clerk.

Union Ville Mar 12th 1885
Pursuant to call of the Moderator the Session met at the Lecture Room + was opened with Prayer. Present Isaac Swift – Moderator + Elder. J L Whitaker, J H Hanford, Elders. Absent M S Hayne on account of Sickness. It appeared that an informal meeting holden Dec 26th 1884 Elders Swift, Whitaker, Hanford Present. Elder Hayne absent, but previously assenting, the Session having reason to believe that the People of this congregation are prepared with a good degree of unanimity to Elect a Pastor adopted the following Resolution viz, that a meeting of this Congregation be holden in the Lecture room of the church on Tuesday Dec 30 at 2 P. M. and that the Notice of this meeting be given from the Pulpit on the next Sabbath in accordance with the form of Government Chap” 15 Sec” 3. Resolved that the Clerk be directed to invite the Rev J B Fisher to attend the meeting of the Congregation, and to preside in the proposed election of a Pastor. Resolved that the above action of the Informal meeting be approved + entered in the minutes. Closed with prayer. J Harvey Hanford Clerk.

Dec 30th 1884
In accordance with notice given from the Pulpit after regular Church service the Congregation of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Union Vill N. Y. met in the Lecture Room of said church on Dec. 30th 1884 at 2 PM. After Singing, Reading a portion of Scripture, and Prayer by Rev. J B Fisher who had been invited to preside. The business of the meeting was stated to be the Election of a Pastor for this church. The Congregation signifying their readiness, Rev. J N Husted was nominated and a vote being taken it was unanimously carried to extend a call to Rev. J N Husted to become our Pastor at a Salary of $500 per year (payable quarterly) a donation visit, and use of the Parsonage. Motion made and carried that the call be signed for the church by the members of session and Board of Trustees. After Singing and Prayer meeting adjourned. Oct 3rd 1885
Session met at the call of the Moderator and was opened with prayer. Present Rev J. N. Husted, Moderator. Isaac Swift, J L Whitaker, J H Hanford, Elders. Absent M S Hayne. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Mrs Sarah Husted was received into membership in this Church on presenting a certificate of membership and dismission from the Pres Church of Liberty N. Y. March 19th 1887
Pursuant to the Call of the Moderator the Session met at the Residence of Elder Isaac Swift and was opened with Prayer. Present. J N Husted Moderator. Mr Isaac Swift, J. L Whitaker M. D., J. H. Hanford, Elders. Absent M S. Hayne, M. D. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. It appeared that at an informal meeting holden Sept 19th 1886 J. L. Whitaker, M. S. was appointed to represent this Session in the stated Autumnal meeting of the Presbytery at Palisades N. Y. Whereupon it was resolved that the above proceedings of the informal meeting be approved and sutured upon the minutes. After conferring together in regard to the recommendations given by the Genl” Assembly referring to Systematic Beneficence, it as unanimously resolved to adopt the same for this church. On application of Mr Frank Whitaker it was voted to grant him a Certificate of Membership and dismission to the M. E. Church of East New York. The Session then adjourned. Closed with Prayer. Mr Isaac Swift, J L Whitaker M. D., J H Hanford, Elders. Absent M S Hayne M. D. The minutes of the last meeting was read + approved. Mrs. B. W. Winters appeared before the Session as a Candidate for admission to the privileges of Church Membership, and after a satisfactory examination as to her knowledge and Piety it was resolved to receive her into Membership in this Church. Oct 4th 1887
The Session met at the call of the Moderator at the Residence of Elder Swift + was opened with prayer. Present Rev. J N Husted, Moderator. Isaac Swift, Dr. J L Whitaker, J H Hanford, Elders. Absent Dr. M S Hayne. Rev Mr Husted presented the case of John B Elston who for a long time has absented himself from the ordinances of the Church. Whereupon after due deliberation it was voted that Messrs Husted + Swift be appointed a committee of the Session to wait upon Mr Elston + endeavor to persuade him to return to his duties and privileges of the church. On application of Mr Wm J McCoy it was voted to granted him a certificate of membership and dismission to [blank] church in Sanfranciso Cal. Minutes of last meeting read and approve. Union Ville Dec 31st 1887
The Session met at the Call of the Moderator after Preparatory Lecture and was opened with Prayer. Present Rev J N Husted Moderator. Isaac Swift, J L Whitaker, J H Hanford, Elders. Absent M S Hayne. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The committee appointed to visit Mr. John B Elston report through the Chairman the duty performed, and that Mr Elston signifies his intention of attending regular Services when it is possible so to do. Report accepted and committee discharged. Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor present her Certificate of dismission and recommendation from the Presbyterian Church of Amity N.Y. and requested that she might be admitted to the membership of this church. Union Ville Feb 1st 1888
The session met at the call of the Moderator after Prayer Meeting and was opened with Prayer. Present J N Husted Moderator. Isaac Swift, Dr J L Whitaker, J H Hanford, Elders. Absent Dr M S Hayne. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Mrs Jane Campbell presented her Certificate of dismission + recommendation from the Reformed Church of Preakness N. J. and requested that she might be admitted to the Membership of this Church. Her request was granted. Mrs Mary Ella Smith and William A Smith her Son requested Certificates of dismission from this Church and recommendation to the 1st Presbytery Church of Washington D. C. The request of Mrs Smith was granted. And acting on the request of Wm A Smith was defered to some future meeting. Session then adjourned. Closed with prayer. J Harvey Hanford Clerk.

Union Ville Mar 31st 1888
The Session met at the call of the Moderator after Preparatory Lecture and was opened with Prayer. Present J N Husted – Moderator. Isaac Swift, J L Whitaker M.D., J H Husted, Elders. Absent M S Hayne MD. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved Miss Jennie Shepherd and Miss Louise Hartwell appeared before the Session as Candidates for admission to the privileges of Church Membership. And after a satisfactory examination as to their knowledge and Piety it was resolved to receive there into the Membership of this Church.

Session then took up the request of William A Smith for a Letter to 1st Presbytery Church of Washington D. C. Whereupon it was resolved 1st, to grant Mr Smiths request. Resolved 2nd, that inasmuch as Mr Smith was not living with his wife at the time he left our community, and that for more than 18 months previous to receiving his request for dismission. Union Ville Nov 30th 1889
The annual Parish meeting was this day held in the Lecture Room of the Church and the following Persons elected to office viz J H Hanford Clerk. J. L. Whitaker Treas. J. H. Smith Solicitor + Collector. A Grover + I E Toland auditing “learn”, all for one year. J N Smith and Ezra F Smith were elected trustees for 3 years. Reports of the Auditing “Com” + “Treas” were read and approved. A resolution was passed relative to disposition of the Pews in the church and Resolution also passed for Clerk to notify Congregation Quarterly, in regard to payment of Pastors Salary. The following named persons, Robert McMickel and Joseph D McCoy having been duly elected to the office of Ruling Elder, were received by the Church as such.
