At this meeting session granted letters of dismission and recommendation to Mrs. George Hankinson and his wife, Mrs. Samantha Hankinson to join some evangelical church in the vicinity where they may hereafter reside. At the same meting Mr Peter C. Hanford was appointed to represent the church in a special meeting of Presbytery to be held at Middletown April 4th 1873. The meeting was opened and closed with prayer. Also Mrs Sarh Elston and Mr Joseph P. McCoy from the Methodist Episcopal church of Unionville Ny.Y and Mr. Isaac Toland from Methodist Episcopal church at Vernon N.J. The last three named persons having subscribed to the Confession of Faith held by the Presbyterian church. At the same meeting Mrs Mary Burrows, Jennie E Clark, Ida A. Casterline, Kittie J. Hanford, Ruth Whitaker, John Elston, Marcus H. Clark, William A. Smith. Edward H. Casterline, William D. HanfordGilbert G. Casterline presented themselves as candidates for church membership. After an examination in referance to their Christian experience and views of Scripture doctrine, the session voted unanimously to receive the at this meeting. Letters of dismission and recommendation were by request, giving to Mr Jonathan Shepherd and his wife Mrs Jane Shepherd to the Presbyterian church at West Town N.Y.
