Professor Clark – The classes he taught.

With all his ecclesiastical controversy and time spent defending the faith, it could almost be overlooked that Dr. Gordon Clark was firstly a philosophy professor. A summary of the courses he taught in his years at Butler University and Covenant College is shown.
Perhaps the funniest part here is that he had to teach “Introduction to Philosophy” at Covenant College. Clark hated introductory courses! He explained why in letters to the establishment of Wheaton College in the 1930’s. Students learn a little bit of everything, but a whole lot of nothing. He would prefer to teach them only Kant or only Hegel instead. He likened introductory courses to a week of learning German, one of French, one of Spanish, etc. where no language is learned in the end. Its better to speak any language, no matter how bizarre, than no language at all.

    1. Thanks, its a lot of work. I keep finding new material. I’ll have to cut off the scope of the book at some point, but I still have a number of sources to search through.
